Follow along in your own language

Live subtitles appear on your phone in the language you choose — and when the host allows it, you can speak to the whole room in your own language too. Nothing to install.

🎤 Speak to everyone — the two-way microphone

When the host turns this on, you can ask a question or share something from your own phone. You speak in the language you picked, and everyone else reads it in theirs.

  1. Tap “Ask to speak” at the bottom of the live screen.
  2. Type your name — or sign in first, if this venue only lets members speak. The host sees your name and your language.
  3. Wait your turn. Your screen shows “Hand raised”, then your place in line, such as “You're #2 in line”. Only one person holds the microphone at a time.
  4. When the host invites you, your screen fills with a red microphone and a moving sound wave — the moving wave means your voice is being sent. If your phone asks for microphone permission, tap Allow.
  5. Speak in the language you chose. Hold the phone about 20 cm from your mouth, speak clearly, and pause briefly at the end of each sentence.
  6. Everyone in the room reads your words in their own language, with your name in front of them. If the host takes the microphone back to answer you, your screen says “The host is responding” and your microphone pauses.
  7. When you have finished, tap “Done speaking”. The host can also end your turn.

Your microphone is on only while it is your turn — never before it, and never after it ends.

🏆 Points, quiz and rewards

Optional. Tap the rewards button at the top of the live screen to create a free account with your email — it takes a minute.

  1. Some venues approve new members by hand. Until you are approved you can still watch the live translation — you just cannot collect points yet.
  2. When the talk ends, open the rewards menu and choose Quiz. You will see “Today's questions are ready.” Tap “Yes, start”.
  3. A few short questions about what was just said. Each one is on a timer, so answer while it is fresh. A right answer adds points; a wrong one may cost a few.
  4. The questions arrive in your own language. You can change the quiz language inside your account.
  5. Spend your points under Store, on the rewards this venue offers, and see your place under Leaderboard. Each quiz can be taken only once.

Helpful tips

  • 📶 Use Wi‑Fi or mobile data — it works in any web browser, on any phone.
  • 🔋 Keep the page open and your screen awake during the talk.
  • ↻ If the subtitles stop, tap the reconnect button in the header or refresh the page.
  • 🎧 Bring earphones if you would like to listen to the spoken translation.
  • 🔒 Watching needs no account. You only sign in to collect points or, in some venues, to speak.
  • 📱 Someone just sat down beside you? Tap the QR icon at the top of your live screen to show them this code.
