Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 July 2026 · Governing version: English

These terms are the agreement between you and InMyTongue when you use our website and service. We've kept them clear and fair. By creating an account or using InMyTongue, you accept them.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using InMyTongue you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you're using InMyTongue for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. The service

InMyTongue transcribes a speaker's words and translates them in real time, streaming subtitles (and optional read-aloud audio) to attendees' own devices in the languages they choose. It runs in the browser and includes tools such as QR-code joining, a two-way audience microphone, session archiving, and — where enabled — memberships, quizzes and rewards.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate registration details and keep your password secure — you're responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country.
  • Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use InMyTongue to break the law, infringe others' rights, transmit unlawful, hateful or infringing content, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it without our permission. We may remove content or limit use that breaches these Terms.

5. Your content & responsibility

You keep ownership of what you broadcast, translate and publish through InMyTongue. You grant us the limited licence needed to transcribe, translate, deliver and (where you enable it) store and display that content to run the service for you.

You are solely responsible for everything spoken, broadcast and published through your account, for having the right to record and share it, and for obtaining any consent required from speakers and attendees. We are not responsible for the views expressed or the correctness of anything said in your sessions. If you enable archiving or public publishing, you additionally consent to those sessions being shared publicly, and you release us from responsibility for that sharing.

6. Translation accuracy

Translation and transcription are produced automatically by AI. They are usually very good and built to convey meaning naturally — but like any automated system they can contain errors, and they are not a guaranteed substitute for a professional human interpreter where a mistake could cause harm (for example legal, medical or safety-critical settings). You accept that we don't warrant that any translation is complete or error-free, and you use it on that basis.

7. Plans, billing & taxes

  • Paid plans are billed as described at sign-up — monthly subscription, pay-as-you-go (metered by the hour), or a free trial/credit where offered.
  • Prices may show tax depending on your country; you're responsible for any taxes not collected by us.
  • If you enable auto-renewal or auto-pay, we charge your balance first and then, if you've added one, your saved card for the remainder — you can turn this off at any time.
  • Unless the law or a specific offer says otherwise, payments for service already delivered are non-refundable. Prepaid balance that hasn't been used may be refundable on request at our discretion.
  • We may change prices for future periods; changes never apply retroactively to an invoice you've already paid.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep InMyTongue running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, and features may change or be withdrawn. Live translation depends on your internet connection and on third-party providers.

9. Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. If you collect data about your own attendees or members through InMyTongue, you are the controller of that data and are responsible for having a lawful basis and the necessary notices and consents.

10. Suspension & termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, don't pay, or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, your right to use InMyTongue stops; we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, InMyTongue is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss arising from translation errors, content published through your account, or service interruptions. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service or the law changes. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for significant changes, let you know. Continuing to use InMyTongue after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of InMyTongue, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and are subject to the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus — unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.

A note on this document. These Terms are written to be clear and fair, not to trick anyone. They are not legal advice; if you have specific local requirements, your own counsel should confirm they fit.
